Ingredients
  

  • 3 pears peeled and sliced in half lengthwise
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup walnuts chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Lay the pears flat side up in a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together maple syrup, orange zest, orange juice, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom, salt, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the liquid mixture over the pears. Top with walnuts
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes and take out and flip the pears over. Bake for 15 more minutes.
  • Let the pears cool for 10 minutes before enjoying them.

Notes

Store the baked pears in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Eat cold or reheat in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
