Homemade Vegan Baked Apples Slices (with cinnamon)

Apples and Cinnamon are a classic flavor combination. These homemade vegan baked apple slices with cinnamon and oatmeal are totally vegan and gluten-free!

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Pre-cut parchment paper (a game-changer!)
  • A wooden spoon
  • A sharp knife
  • A cutting board

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Apples
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cup Oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • cup Coconut Oil
  • cup Pecans

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Slice three apples. Make sure to remove any inedible parts of the apple.
  • Apple slices should be cut as thinly as possible. If you're using a mandolin slicer, make sure to use the slicing blade. If you're using an electric knife, make sure to hold the apple firmly while cutting.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment and lay each apple slice on the baking sheet.
  • Mix together brown sugar, oatmeal, cinnamon, coconut oil, and pecans and spoon mixture over each apple slice.
  • Apples should be baked for about 15 minutes. Depending on how thick or thin you slice the apples, you may need to bake them for up to 20 minutes. Cook until the apples are soft and caramelized. Serve immediately.

Cinnamon apples are delicious! They're naturally vegan and gluten-free. You can serve them as an appetizer or dessert. Some optional toppings for the Baked Apples include butter, ice cream, whipped cream, chopped walnuts, or vegan coconut yogurt.
