Chocolate Dipped Oranges & Strawberries

Ingredients
  

  • 2 sumo oranges peeled and segmented
  • 10 strawberries hulled
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil optional
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut
  • ¼ cup freeze-dried raspberries crushed

Instructions
 

  • Prepare fruit by peeling oranges into segments and hulling strawberries. Pat dry.
  • Melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl using a microwave (20-second intervals) or a double boiler. Stir until smooth.
  • Mix crushed freeze-dried raspberries and shredded coconut in a bowl.
  • Thread an orange segment and a strawberry onto each skewer.
  • Dip diagonally into melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  • Sprinkle with coconut and raspberry mixture while the chocolate is still wet.
  • Place on parchment paper and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until set.
  • Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Notes

For a smoother chocolate coating, add a teaspoon of coconut oil when melting the chocolate.
Try different citrus fruits like mandarins or blood oranges for variety.
Add a pinch of flaky sea salt for an extra flavor boost.
