Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 small seedless watermelon
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
  • Flaky sea salt to taste
  • Tajín seasoning to taste

Instructions

  • Prep the Watermelon: Cut the watermelon into thick slices. Using a crinkle cutter, slice the watermelon into fry-shaped sticks. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Melt the Chocolate: Place the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  • Dip the Watermelon Fries: Dip one end of each watermelon fry into the melted chocolate. Let the excess drip off, then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the dipped part with flaky sea salt and Tajín to taste.
  • Set & Serve: Chill the watermelon fries in the fridge for about 10–15 minutes, or until the chocolate is set. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

These are best enjoyed fresh, right after the chocolate sets.
Patting the watermelon dry is key! It helps the chocolate stick better.
Adjust the amount of Tajín based on your spice preference.
