Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 large oranges
  • 1 box 3 oz orange-flavored gelatin
  • ½ cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt

Instructions

  • Slice the oranges in half lengthwise.
  • Carefully hollow out the oranges, removing the pulp and juice.
  • Pat the insides of the orange halves dry with a paper towel and set them in a muffin tin.
  • In a heatproof bowl, whisk together the gelatin powder and boiling water until completely dissolved.
  • Stir in the cold water to cool the mixture slightly.
  • Add the Greek yogurt and whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  • Pour the jello mixture into the hollowed-out orange halves, filling almost to the top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
  • Once set, slice each orange half into 3–4 wedges.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Use a sharp serrated knife to slice cleanly through the jello and peel.
For a smoother texture, ensure the yogurt is completely blended into the jello mixture.
Get creative with flavors! Try different gelatin flavors for variety.
If you want extra fruitiness, fold in small diced fruit before filling the orange halves.
These can be made up to 24 hours in advance.
