Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate 70% cocoa or higher
  • 1 cup fresh cherries pitted and sliced in half
  • ¼ cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate

Instructions

  • Melt the Dark Chocolate - In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  • Spread the Chocolate - Line a small baking sheet or flat plate with parchment paper. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the parchment and use a spatula to spread it into a thin, even layer (about ¼ inch thick).
  • Add the Cherries - Press the halved, pitted cherries cut-side down into the chocolate layer. Space them evenly but generously across the surface.
  • Melt the White Chocolate - In a clean bowl, melt the white chocolate using the same method. Once smooth, use a spoon to drizzle the white chocolate over the cherries and dark chocolate layer.
  • Freeze - Transfer the bark to the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until completely firm.
  • Break & Serve - Once frozen, break or slice into shards or squares. Store in the fridge or freezer for a refreshing, fruity chocolate treat.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor and texture
Don't overheat the chocolate – stop when it's 90% melted and stir to finish
Press cherries firmly into the chocolate to ensure they don't fall off when breaking
For clean breaks, let bark come to room temperature for 5 minutes after freezing before breaking into pieces
Store covered in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
