Equipment

  • Large zip-top bag
  • Parchment-Lined Baking Sheet
  • Fine-mesh strainer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups green grapes rinsed and still slightly damp
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 3 oz packet strawberry Jell-O powder (dry mix only)

Instructions

  • Prep the grapes: Rinse grapes thoroughly and pat gently with paper towels, leaving them slightly damp for optimal powder adhesion.
  • Add citrus: Place grapes in zip-top bag, add lemon juice, seal, and shake vigorously to coat evenly.
  • Coat with powder: Open bag, sprinkle in strawberry Jello powder, reseal, and shake until grapes are completely coated with bright pink powder.
  • Arrange for freezing: Spread coated grapes in single layer on parchment-lined baking sheet to prevent sticking.
  • Freeze: Freeze for at least 2 hours until firm. Transfer to airtight containers for longer storage.
  • Serve: Enjoy straight from freezer for the ultimate candy-like texture and flavor.

Notes

Don't completely dry grapes – slight moisture helps powder stick
Shake bag vigorously for even coating
Store frozen grapes for up to 1 month in airtight containers
Let sit 2-3 minutes before eating if frozen overnight for optimal texture
