Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas sliced down the middle
  • 3.5 ounces dark chocolate
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons crushed nuts optional

Instructions

  • Start by slicing your bananas down the middle. You should end up with 4 pieces total.
  • Melt your dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler.
  • Once the chocolate is melted, stir in the peanut butter until it is fully combined.
  • Dip the banana slices into the chocolate mixture, making sure to coat them evenly on all sides.
  • If desired, sprinkle the crushed nuts and drizzle excess chocolate over the top of the chocolate-covered bananas.
  • Place the bananas on a baking sheet with parchment paper and pop them into the fridge for about 1-2 hours to allow the chocolate to set. Pop in the freezer for frozen banana snickers bites.
  • Once the chocolate has hardened, enjoy your Banana Snickers as a tasty, healthy snack!

Notes

You can use any type of nut butter that you prefer in this recipe. Some good options include almond butter, cashew butter, or tahini (sesame seed butter). You can also use a nut-free option, such as sunflower seed butter, if you prefer.
