I know this isn't technically a recipe, but sometimes it's nice to take some shortcuts when baking. Betty Crocker's homestyle frosting is the best-boxed frosting I've ever had. It tastes homemade and looks BEAUTIFUL on cakes, cupcakes, and cookies.
This was my grandma's secret weapon when making angel food cakes. She would make delicious, homemade chocolate angel food cakes for every birthday party and top them with this frosting. Nobody ever knew it was from a box!
Not everything has to be made from scratch, especially when everyone is so busy. I'm all about finding shortcuts when baking if they taste delicious.
