Cookies & cream frozen yogurt is the protein-rich dessert that you need! It only calls for three simple ingredients. Plus, you can add fun toppings and sauces to the frozen yogurt to jazz it up. I always loved cookies and cream ice cream when I was growing up, but they typically aren't gluten-free. This version is made with gluten-free Oreos (but you can use regular if you're not gluten-free), plain greek yogurt, and a drizzle of honey. Plus, no ice cream maker is required! Did I mention the prep time only takes 5 minutes?

This cookies & cream frozen yogurt is good all year round! Try making it in July and September for a cooling treat, October for Halloween, or March for a quick dessert.

This oreo frozen yogurt recipe was inspired by my 3 ingredient pistachio nice cream recipe  and my gluten-free apple galette recipe on my blog.

    Ingredients

    cookies-and-cream-frozen-yogurt-ingredients
    • Greek Yogurt: plain, unsweetened greek yogurt. I use Fage Greek Yogurt. You can also use vanilla-flavored greek yogurt. Chobani Greek Yogurt is also a great brand option.
    • Gluten-Free Oreo Cookies: I use gluten-free Oreos. You can also use regular Oreos if you're not gluten-free.
    • Honey: just a drizzle to sweeten the frozen yogurt. It's just enough sweetness so granulated sugar isn't required.

    See recipe card for quantities.

    Instructions

    adding-oreos

Add the Oreos to the food processor and pulse until almost powdery.

Add the greek yogurt and honey and pulse until smooth. The mixture should have a creamy consistency.

    cookies-and-cream-frozen-yogurt-in-loaf-pan

Pour the mixture into a metal loaf pan.

    Top with crushed Oreos.

Cover the loaf pan with plastic wrap and freeze in the freezer for at least 6 hours.

Remove from the freezer after 6 hours and let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before scooping using an ice cream scoop.

Hint: use a reusable ice cream container instead of a loaf pan. Find a great one HERE.

    Substitutions

    • Gluten-Free Oreo Cookies - instead of gluten-free oreo cookies, you can use regular Oreos.
    • Unsweetened Greek Yogurt - use vanilla or sweetened greek yogurt instead.

    Variations

    • Vanilla - add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to the frozen yogurt before freezing for vanilla cookies and cream frozen yogurt.
    • Chocolate - add ¼ cup chocolate sauce to the frozen yogurt before freezing for vanilla cookies and cream frozen yogurt.
    • Nutty - add ¼ cup crushed walnuts or pistachios to the frozen yogurt before freezing for vanilla cookies and cream frozen yogurt.
    • Strawberry - serve this frozen yogurt with fresh strawberries and other fresh fruit.

See this 3-ingredient strawberry nice cream on my website!

    Equipment

    • Metal loaf pan
    • Food processor
    • Ice cream scoop

    Storage

Store in the freezer wrapped in plastic wrap and a freezer-safe plastic bag for up to a month. You can also store it in an airtight container. Let the cookies and cream frozen yogurt thaw for 15 minutes before serving.

    Top tip

Make sure to let the cookies and cream frozen yogurt thaw for at least 15 minutes before serving.
