- M&M's: Use Halloween M&M's for a nice twist.
- Popcorn: I use plain salted popcorn without butter.
- Ground Cinnamon
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
Pour the popcorn, m&m's, and Hershey's kisses into a large bowl. Mix using your hands or a spoon.
Sprinkle over popcorn with cinnamon. Mix to combine.
Store in an airtight container for up to five days.
Hint: You can also mix up the snack mix in a large ziplock bag. This makes it easier to get everything really mixed. It can also be helpful to spread the popcorn mix out on a baking sheet after mixing.
Substitutions
- Popcorn - instead of plain popcorn, use cheese popcorn. Or, use kettle corn.
- M&M's - use chocolate chips instead of M&M's. Try using white chocolate chips.
Variations
- Spicy - add chili pepper flakes to the popcorn to make this mix sweet, salty, and spicy.
- Cinnamon sugar - add ¼ cup cinnamon sugar to the popcorn mixture for a sweet twist on this Halloween treat. You can also use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar. Brown sugar won't spread as evenly.
- Candy corn - add ½ cup candy corn to the popcorn mixture.
- Peanut butter - add 1 tablespoon PB2 to the mix for a peanut butter-flavored Halloween popcorn snack.
- Candy pumpkins - add ½ cup of candy pumpkins to the mix.
- Mini marshmallows - add ¼ cup of mini marshmallows to the popcorn mixture.
