This boozy frosting is the perfect topping for cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. It has a shot of Baileys (21+ only) and a healthy dose of fresh strawberries and freeze-dried strawberry powder.
Baileys Buttercream Frosting with Strawberries is a great recipe for summertime celebrations or birthday parties.
This recipe was inspired by my recipe for strawberry butter and pairs well with my strawberry cut-out cookies.

Ingredients
- Unsalted butter
- Freeze-dried strawberry powder
- Baileys liquor
- Fresh strawberries
- Powdered sugar

Instructions
Beat softened unsalted butter with an electric mixer on medium speed. I recommend using a paddle attachment, but a whisk attachment will work, too.
Slowly add in the powdered sugar until combined and beat on medium speed.
Add in the fresh strawberries, Baileys, and freeze-dried strawberry powder.
Mix until the buttercream has a fluffy texture.
Use to frost cookies, cakes, and cupcakes.
Hint: Use an electric mixer to mix the buttercream really well. Find the one I use HERE.
Substitutions
- Fresh strawberries - use frozen strawberries instead of fresh strawberries. Just microwave the strawberries for a minute and let them cool completely before adding to the buttercream.

Yes! You can leave out the alcohol. Replace it with a tablespoon of water instead.
