    Ingredients

    • 5 tangerines, peeled and frozen

    Instructions

Peel the tangerines and remove any seeds.

Place the peeled tangerines in a freezer-safe container and freeze overnight or until completely frozen.

Remove the frozen tangerines from the freezer and let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.

Place the frozen tangerines in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Note that at first, the mixture will be crumbly, but keep blending until it becomes smooth.

Scoop the sorbet into bowls or glasses and serve immediately, garnished with your choice of toppings.

    Topping Suggestions

While tangerine sorbet is delicious on its own, you can also try adding some toppings to take it to the next level. Some popular options include:

    • Fresh mint leaves
    • Shaved dark chocolate
    • Toasted coconut flakes
    • Crushed pistachios
    • Whipped cream

    Storage Instructions

Tangerine sorbet is best served immediately after blending, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one week. Just be sure to let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping as it can become quite hard when frozen.

    FAQ

Can I use other citrus fruits instead of tangerines?

Yes, you can use any citrus fruit of your choice such as oranges, lemons, or limes. Just keep in mind that the flavor and sweetness may vary depending on the fruit you choose.

Can I use a blender instead of a food processor?

Yes, you can use a blender to make tangerine sorbet, but you may need to add a little bit of liquid (such as water or orange juice) to help the blades move.

Can I use canned or bottled tangerine juice instead of fresh tangerines?

While it's possible to use canned or bottled tangerine juice, it won't give you the same fresh and intense flavor as using fresh tangerines. I recommend using fresh fruit whenever possible.
